This article highlights how to integrate, access, and manage your google calendars so that your website can have the most accurate and easily accessible information!
Integrating Your Google Calendar
The first step is to decide where you want to place your calendar or multiple calendars on your website.
Once you have decided on the page you would like your calendar to be on, click on the ‘edit’ panel to view the content elements
Select the calendar icon and drag it over into one of the red outlined content regions on the page
Click either the pencil icon in the corner of your calendar template or anywhere within the calendar space and a window will pop up with information about your calendar, how it displays, etc.
Click on ‘add google account(s) / calendar(s)’
A second window will pop up where you will click a green ‘manage accounts’ button in the top right corner.
Click ‘add account’ and login to the google account associated with the calendar you would to add to your website.
Make sure you click ‘allow access’ so that your google account can fully integrate with your website(s) and then click ‘finished’ to finalize the sync over to the content manager.
Now you should be able to see a section that says ‘My calendars’ and ‘Others Calendars’ if you have any subscriptions or access to calendars that aren’t specifically yours.
Check each grey box next to the calendars you would like to be displayed and click ‘ok’
Click ‘save’ to finalize your selections and save all changes.
The other thing you need to make sure you do is go to calendar.google.com and click the three dots next to each of the calendars you have synced to your website and click ‘settings and sharing’
Scroll down until you come across ACCESS PERMISSIONS and make sure to select ‘make available to public' and select ‘see all event details’ in the drop down menu. This ensures that anyone who is on your website has full permission and visibility of your google calendars as well as the events within each one.
