Subsites
We like to use the metaphor that your Catapult website is a book at the library. If the book is checked out, no one else can use it. Subsites are like breaking off a chapter of the book so that it can be accessed separately. There are two main benefits for creating subsites: multiple people can use one site at the same time and you can assign site users to those specific sections. Many Districts choose to break off different departments so that each department can manage their own information and keep their material updated.
Create a Subsite:
From your dashboard, click on Manage Websites
Find the ‘Options’ button on the right hand side of the site you wish to create the subsite for and click on the arrow. Select the ‘Create Subsite’ option.
You will then have 2 or 3 options for the type of subsite you can create. If you have a teacher template you will have the option to create a subsite with that template. If not, you will be able to create an attached or unattached subsite.
